Pittosporum Gold Star is a lovely compact, bushy, evergreen shrub with red-brown branches. The leaves are wavy-edged and the young leaves are light green, and their older leaves are dark green with an obvious white line centre. Small, fragrant, dark maroon flowers appear in spring.

Gold Star is supplied in a 2lt pot and is approximately 25cm tall, it will reach a maximum height of 1.5-2.5 metres and a spread of 1-1.5 metres which takes between 5 and 10 years.

Easy to grow in any moist but well–drained soil, it prefers full sun or partial shade.

A low maintenance shrub, it is ideal for flower borders and containers in a cottage or informal garden or used architecturally in a city or courtyard garden.
