Euonymus japonicus 'Green Spire' is an upright, evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves . It looks rather like a Buxus, common box plant and is often chosen as a substitute. The growth is slightly different, with E. 'Green Spire' having a stiffly upright form rather than the more rounded habit of box.
