These can be so abundant that a carpet of spent flowers makes an attractive white carpet below the plant. The flowers are surrounded by very colourful pink calyces (leaf like structures around the flowers) which remain after the flowers have fallen, so the plants have three colours – green, pink and white. Prune late in winter or very early in spring before growth starts as it flowers on the new wood.

Can be grown in coastal areas in areas sheltered from the wind.
